CTRL-ALT-Juneau and last.fm
As you may have noticed, I like last.fm. However, I don’t use it so much for listening to music as for keeping track of what I play and generating neat little graphs for me. I’m easily amused this way.
For as long as this site has been up, there has been a box on the right called “What Jason is listening to…” This is basically a live feed of what I am personally listening to on my computer or iPod, updated every few minutes. Each track links to its last.fm information page, where you can find artist and album information and even listen to the entire track if it’s available. (If you are also on last.fm, my username is solja80.)
I just added a little feature over on the right showing the overall top 10 artists played during CTRL-ALT-Juneau shows and the number of times they’ve been played. This should be fun to watch change as time goes on and artists come and go.
Some other neat little nuggets of information for you. Over the 22 shows broadcast since CTRL-ALT-Juneau debuted in July 2009,
- 599 tracks have been played overall representing…
- 467 unique tracks found on…
- 371 different albums released by…
- 237 artists.
What does that mean? It means that CTRL-ALT-Juneau is bringing you an awesome mix from a bunch of artists with few repeats, so keep listening and I’ll keep playing!
